Traditional Enterprise Architecture (EA) is often too rigid for modern, agile business environments, harming business-IT alignment. This paper by students at the University of Melbourne proposes a solution by integrating the TOGAF framework with Scrum agile practices. It introduces a conceptual model for an Agile Enterprise Architecture (AEA) that merges TOGAF’s architecture development method with Scrum’s agility. The model enhances cross-team coordination and uses a pace-layered governance strategy to make architecture development more responsive to organizational change.
