by Enbei Yu, Ruisi Qian, Jiajia Wang, Pingting Wu and Rod Dilnutt

Introduction

In this paper on the increasing use of the Internet of Things (IoT) in healthcare (also known as the Internet of Medical Things, or IoMT) students from the University of Melbourne investigate and discuss the associated risk of, and exposure to, cyberattack that comes with this increasing usage. Vulnerabilities in both technology and process are discussed, as well as methods to mitigate these risks and increase organisational awareness of both risks and consequences of attack.
