by Rubab Batool, Tian Wang, Jiaxin Zhang, Yumin Zhang, Zijing Liu and Rod Dilnutt
Summary
Edge computing offers many potential benefits including real-time and ultra low-latency system performance, however Enterprise Architecture is only just coming to grips with the rise of this new type of computing resource. In this paper, from students at the University of Melbourne, edge computing and EA methodologies (in particular TOGAF® 9.2) are examined through the use of two detailed case studies that seek to provide a method of value determination and realisation for edge computing in the enterprise.
