Summary
In a world of increasing cyber security threats, few industries carry as much sensitive information as the Healthcare industry. Central to the operation of facilities such as hospitals is the concept of Hospital Information Systems (HIS), which creates a significant area of focus for cyber criminals. In this new paper from students at the University of Melbourne, we see a series of important considerations to help healthcare providers and their IT teams build security into the architecture of their HIS implementations, helping to protect their organisations and their patients.
