Dr. Steve Else – Founder and Executive Editor

As one of the world’s foremost innovators, practitioners/consultants, lecturers, educators and trainers serving the Enterprise Architecture (EA) industry, Founder Dr. Steve Else has been a sought-after authority within the global business transformation community for nearly two decades.

Following a successful career as a U.S Air Force pilot, defense attache, and Pentagon staffer, Steve became a systems engineering and enterprise architecture consultant to government and other enterprises around the world. While also leading the company he established, EA Principals (the first sponsor of the ArchiMate Certification program, he is one of the world’s leading consultants, lecturers, and teachers regarding the application of architecture for improving and transforming even the largest and most complex of organizations. He served as Chief Enterprise Architect at the Department of Health and Human Services (Inspector General) and was Lead Enterprise Architect at FDIC, so he brings deep experience along with great passion in his efforts to help mature the EA discipline. With key partners, he has just launched a Cloud-based ArchiMate modeling tool supported by a repository in order to accelerate the uptake of ArchiMate for business transformation.

Darryl Carr – Editor, EA Practice Advisor

Darryl is a veteran of more than 25 years in IT, with much of that time involved in delivering change at an enterprise scale. He has provided Solution Architecture and Enterprise Architecture services to companies across numerous industries on both the east and west coast of Australia, including the establishment of EA capabilities. He is a member of an industry advisory group that was formed to advise the Australian Computer Society (ACS) on the scope, skills and body of knowledge of an Enterprise Architect to support a specialist certification in EA.

Darryl has presented on the definition of EA Skills using the Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA). Darryl is also a member of a number of Special Interest Groups, is on the program committee of several conferences, and is the Chair of the Australasian Enterprise Architecture Conference. He is certified in Enterprise Architecture (TOGAF/ArchiMate) and Project Management (PRINCE2), is a Senior Member of the Australian Computer Society (ACS) and an ACS Certified Professional.
